INTIMACY COORDINATOR AND MOVEMENT SPECIALIST FOR FILM AND TV INDUSTRY.

My principal responsibilities as an intimacy coordinator are to make sure the actors understand consent, feel empowered to voice their boundaries, and know exactly what to expect on the day of shooting an intimate scene. I also help with choreography and work closely with the director to help facilitate their creative vision. Through dance and intimacy choreography, I focus on how movement creates meaning, and how power dynamics in educational and performance spaces affect embodiment. I offer support in all areas of intimacy and nudity – not just limited to sexual Intimacy. I work with film and TV crews to both choreograph sex scenes and advocate for actors physical and psychological safety. What I do as an Intimacy Coordinator?

• Choreograph and coach movement for scenes with intimacy, simulated sex, and nudity.
• Act as a liaison between performers and production.
• Implement Protocols for intimate scenes.
• A resource for the director to help achieve their vision through story specific consent.
• Advocate for actors on set so they feel confident in vulnerable and intimate scenes for better storytelling.
